The Famagusta District
Cyprus has an amazing climate and history.
The locals say it has two seasons, 9 months of summer and 3 months of spring, autumn and winter!
Standing at the crossroads of Europe, Asia and Africa Cyprus has always been seen as a strategically important stronghold which has led to it's turbulent history.
The most recent troubles happened in 1974 when Turkey invaded and now occupies what is now known as Northern Cyprus. Whilst the towns are of Protaras, Paralimni and Kapparis are in the Famagusta District, Famagusta Town itself actually lies in Northern Cyprus. The big hotels and apartment blocks in the beach area of Famagusta have been inaccessible to both halves of Cyprus since 1974 and can be clearly seen from Villa Jondan. It is possible to travel into Northern Cyprus and Famagusta but taking hire cars across is not allowed.
Kapparis Area
With such a variety of beaches and the crystal waters of South Eastern Cyprus there is no better place for a holiday.
There is a huge range of water-sports and the scuba diving and snorkeling is fantastic. Whether taking your snorkel and a few pieces of bread to attract the plentiful fish or diving to see the Zenobia, one of the worlds top ten wreck dives complete with a cargo of trucks and lorries the options are endless.
Protaras has it's own Water-park but for mega thrills a visit to Waterworld in Ayia Napa, Europes largest themed water park is a must.
Further afield, no trip to Cyprus is complete without a trip up the Troodos Mountains less than two hour drive away. You can even ski on Troodos in the winter mornings before swimming in the sea in the afternoon!!
As for eating and drinking the area can boast the widest range of almost anywhere in the world. From cosy tavernas serving tasty local wine and produce to international restaurants and the Mega Night Clubs and discos of Ayia Napa.

You literally step off the front balcony of Villa Jondan to the lovely pool shared by only 11 other similar houses. Much of the time you have it to yourself! The house has three other balconies for that perfect outdoor living. (the front balcony now has a gate to stop young children entering the pool without supervision)
What makes the house special is it's location. It is a gentle stroll, about 200 metres to the local beach.
Under the house there is a private garage for at least 2 cars
Whilst towels are provided for use within the house we would ask you to take your own towels for pool and beach use.
Conditions
Sorry, no pets allowed.
Smoking not permitted in the house but ash trays provided on the terraces/balconies
Villa Jondan
Kapparis, Protaras, Eastern Cyprus
Villa Jondan, 3rd from the right, (which can sleep 7/8) was completed in October 2006 and is situated in one of the most sought after areas of Kapparis, near Protaras and very close to millionaires row! The house overlooks a large communal pool shared by only 12 houses, and is often your own!!
Unlike many properties available, the house has been furnished with top quality, beds, furniture, lighting, etc making it somewhere we hope you will want to return year after year.
A small sandy beach, adjacent to Fireman's beach and used mainly by the locals is only a couple of hundred yards stroll from the house and only a five minute walk away are bars, shops and restaurants, (3 of which are some of the best in the area). Some of the best beaches in Cyprus are situated on the south east coast of the island including Fig Tree Bay, Nissi Beach, Konnos Beach, Firemans Beach as well as a number of endless secluded coves.
